20th century, likely before the 1930s, likely Hausa

Similar in construction and materials to catalog #21. The blade a native triple fuller with rough dukari half moon marks.

The hilt follows traditional form but is made from tin or sheet metal rather than brass and iron. This seems to be an indication of somewhat later manufacture. The decorative patterns follow examples typical for Hausa work. It seems reasonable to consider this was made within a Hausa city.
